I can't find one, even very small fault with Gourmet Productions catering service, from start to finish! I ordered a catered lunch for 100 people. The choices were all designed to go together in taste and presentation. The day of, as each was unveiled, we delighted in the beautiful presentation of everything. The fruit salad was fruit only in season, and was just-cut fresh, and really flavorful. The cheese platter was varied and really lovely. All afternoon I overheard my guests commenting on how wonderful everything was. I was excited to return their serving pieces the next day so that I could corner the staff and sing their praises. I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys. You can make the decisions and relax!

What a find!! Can't believe I've lived in LO for years and haven't found this place until now. Only open weekdays until 6:30pm. Half off of cookies and sandwiches after a certain time. ? 3:30p?. We really liked all the salads. My wife really liked the golden slaw. I liked the beet salad with capers and the quinoa salad. Flank steak salad was also delicious. The salmon cakes are fantastic, especially with the lime aioli. The quinoa cakes with 7-spice aioli was also pretty good. The 7 spice had some Indian flavors to it. Sweet potato jojos are pretty good too. I can see why they are popular... but I still prefer my jojo's hot. Not room temperature. Cookies are all pretty good. Tuna melt sandwich was decent. Overall I think my favorites were the salmon cake and the quinoa salad. Will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches. Service was also excellent. Just a warning, they do run out of some items towards the end of the day.

Yay! I'm a fan! This review is for the café. This was truly a great save by Yelp! We were shopping for fabric and began to starve, so we checked the app and found this great, semi-hole in the wall place and could not have been happier! It looks like the place to grab lunch in the area, busy lunch time crowd. Sandwiches are delicious and located on the far side by the wall of wine. The turkey sandwich with cranberry was on a bread with NO CRUST! Yum! Fresh, and interesting main entrees and side dishes are kept in the deli case and charged by the pound. Our group opted to each get a sandwich and then split three of the side dishes so we could maximize our selections. Saffron Orzo had great flavor, beet salad was delicious and the perfect temperature with the right amount of cheese. The apple fennel salad was overly lemony but perfectly julienned. Pumpkin bread and chocolate chip cookie perfectly completed our meal! Service is friendly and attentive. It is also well staffed which makes for a much better experience. Self service cutlery, napkins, and water. Bus your own table. Price was okay, maybe a little too expensive but not bad. Note: This café is not very accessible, it is very hard to maneuver around in. Not good for groups of 4+. I would definitely order takeout from this place though and sit on a park bench somewhere to eat!

Great, quality ingredients for a healthy lunch or sides to take home. Expensive but reflects the quality.

Best salmon cakes I've ever had! There were lots of other temptations in the display case but I have a restricted diet and couldn't indulge. Freshly made lemonade is excellent. The staff of this unassuming little deli in downtown Lake Oswego is very friendly. I stumbled on it while looking for the Clock Gallery (another great local institution) and will return.

Gourmet Productions catered our wedding of around 100 guests this August. They were great about communicating with us as we dialed in an ever-changing menu, and worked to stay within our price range. Their food is simple but creative, and was a big hit. They accommodated all sorts of special needs, like having gluten-free options, and even delivering everything on the day of the party. Their delivery crew had everything sorted and labeled clearly, making our load-in and set-up slightly less chaotic. The communication and support that GP offered throughout the process made it a pleasure working with them. We originally sought them out after a friends wedding last summer, and the results were consistent with that previous experience. Thanks for keeping our guests happy & full of food!

One in Portland but excellent customer service, food & ambience. No wine can be consumed in the actual restaurant, even though they sell it :(

I had a toasted tuna sandwich with bacon-brussel sprouts. The food was amazing with incredible quality ingredients. Everything on display looked delicious. Service with a smile. Highly recommend this place for lunch!

Gourmet Productions is primarily a catering business, but they also have a tiny cafeteria-style café in the front of their building. It is actually a nice little place, with simple, homey decor and a veritable cornucopia of food selections on display in a glass deli cabinet. The shrimp and rice salad and sunflower seed coleslaw that I had was quite delicious and fresh, and my mom's Cubano sandwich and beets were wonderful. We sampled other items as well, including the spicy dragon noodles, and concluded with double chocolate walnut and oatmeal currant cookies. The meal was a little pricy at $24, but the food is sold by weight, so the prices can vary considerably depending on how much you order. Nevertheless, it was worth the money for such fresh, delicious food. One small complaint is that there are no public restrooms, although this is presumably due to the floorplan of the business (it occupies one half of a long narrow building that was likely never intended to be an eatery). If you just want to wash your hands, however, there is a sink behind the counter that they'll let you use. Other than that, this place is perfect. Definitely recommended.

This place is such a treat - and I mean treat, since it can get kind of pricey. But honestly, with local ingredients and a variety of options, it's one of my favorite in-town lunch places. They've got salads (we had a delicious curried chicken salad), sandwiches, and other more appetizer-y options, like chicken satay. I had a their Reuben sandwich which was just great. If you're looking for a quick, great lunch stop, this is your place.

Just visited here for lunch for the first time and loved it! Fresh, seasonal produce at a great price with excellent customer service. I even got a free cookie when I mentioned it was my first time and that I found them on Yelp. So tasty. Heads up, it is premade fresh food. So my lunch (pumpkin chicken with tomato sauce and brussels sprouts with squash) was reheated, but delicious! And I took home some for dinner (the same chicken because it was so good, brussles sprouts with bacon and parmesan, and carmelized squash) with my love tonight. Can't wait!

Angelina Jolie is a provocateur. And back in the day when she was dating Billy Bob and wearing a vial of blood, winning an Oscar and kissing her brother, she was quoted as saying, "Before I die, I want to taste everyone in the world." And that statement really resonated with me. Not in the overtly sexual or inflammatory way in which it was intended, but in a purer way. I want to taste (and experience) everything. Then Yelp entered my world and I found other people like me who might be singing, "I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly." But what interests me most are people who see and experience life differently and I get a glimpse into their world. It is those reviews that I especially enjoy because it encourages me to try a new place or a different item on the menu. They taste different. You can use Yelp a thousand different ways. To write a few reviews about your regular haunts that you know deeply or only about places you love or kill the hype of those you hate. To keep a record of adventures with family and friends in real life and keep in touch with those around the world you meet 'on the internet.' And if you're lucky some of those Yeeps become real friends too. Another reason to enjoy Yelp is when it leads you to places like Gourmet Productions. I live one town over, but had never heard of this cafe until I came across it in reviews. It does all those things that folks in the Portland Metro Area love: independently owned and serving locally sourced food. It has style and flair, vibrant color and taste, but food is served on paper plates with recycled plastic forks. That is Oregon's specialty - casual elegance. We want to wow you, but look like we're not trying too hard. Gourmet Productions is a catering company that also operates a small café so you can dine in or take your food to go. I've been working my way through their salads and sides, and their pre-made gourmet sandwiches are also excellent. The quinoa with feta cheese, cucumbers, pecans and tomatoes is out of this world. The snap peas are another must have. You can assemble a plate of different items that they will individually weigh and you pay by the pound. Since everything is pre-made, this is one of the fastest and most enjoyable lunches in town. They sell six types of fresh baked cookies and offer a daily dessert. I've also bought Spanish wine and they sell a small assortment of cook books and other items. The space and staff have a decidedly female vibe which I really like. They are fun and seem like they've found their niche and are executing everything very well. I look forward to many more visits here until the next little spot catches my eye. In Portland, there is always a new place. Thanks to Yelp I have a little inside info. about how to have the best experience and what to avoid before I walk in the door.

When we lived in Lake Oswego, this was a lunch favorite. Now it's a must whenever we are visiting. Local, seasonal ingredients makes each dish special. You can't go wrong with any sandwich or dish you select.

Infectiously friendly and enthusiastic about the food. That's how we'd describe the greeting we received from the young woman behind the counter at Gourmet Productions during our first visit last week. She was a great ambassador for the place...the Anne Burrell of takeout counter service! We went for an early lunch and ordered several things from the large variety of options that were displayed both in the case and on top of it. Then while we enjoyed the good food, we also enjoyed the show of still more items coming out of the kitchen and into the case and the steady stream of customers (mostly regulars, a good sign) coming in to talk to the counter person and get their orders. Entertainment to go along with the food! We posted photos with the review to give a sense of the fun 'n funky 'early attic decor' interior. We won't even attempt to summarize the myriad of food choices available. But we had the spicy Dragon Noodle salad, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and just kissed by Parmesan cheese and a quinoa salad with feta and pecans. We'd order them all again...but first there would be so many other things to try. That is IF we were going to to back again. And as good as the food is and as delightful as the service was, this is not a place that we'd have at the top of our list on the next trip to Lake Oswego. The simple reason is that it too hard to access. There is a limited amount of street parking and the nearest lot is at a drug store across the street which is clearly marked "customers only". Would they really tow someone wanting to shop at Gourmet Productions? Don't know, but we probably also don't' want to find out. And if you or someone you are with needs accessible parking, that is for wheelchair purposes, you'll find the nearest usable location to be a the public garage several blocks away. (On the wheelchair access topic, noted the YELP page says "no" to wheelchair access at Gourmet Productions. In fact, while the entry is clearly not ADA compatible, having had some personal expereince with this at one time we note it is probably possible for someone in a wheelchair to get in the door with help to do that..) So, we're glad we tried this once. If they move to some location in the future that makes parking and access easier, we'd go back. In the meantime, there are so many other good places to do biz with that are easier to get to.

Brusell Sprouts! Get them! Gourmet Productions makes beautifully delicious food. It is a bit pricey, but always delicious and the service is always friendly. Eat the brussel sprouts. They changed my life. ;)

What a joy to find this place on a morning walk with a friend. Totally unexpected. It was located on a somewhat quite street and we were heading to the Upper Crust Bakery. It is right next door. We thought it was the same shop. I had some heirloom tomato salad and the pumpkin seeded chicken. They were so good even though the chicken was cold. I can't wait to try other things.

I am a SE Portlander who definitely likes to snark on Lake O for sport. But the more time I spend there during various lunch outings, the more I find things to like about Lake O. Gourmet Productions is my most recent Lake O crush. It is a tiny sandwich shop right at the edge of downtown. They have numerous pre-made sandwiches, along with positively delicious side dish options that you can purchase by the pound. I am a big fan of their sugar snap peas with tarragon oil. Yum! Be sure to try the curry chicken salad sandwich as well. It is so good! The lunch hour sees a steady stream of customers, most of whom are undecided about exactly what they will order, so despite having quite a bit of counter help, the line can move slowly, with lots of, "No, wait, not that. I'll get that next time. I want that instead." Go early if you can. Get ahead of the indecisive bunch, and snag one of just a handful of tables inside. They do quite a bit of walk-away business, probably for local office buildings. If you want to dine-in, you have to hit it just right. For those who enjoy a great visual, or even a tutorial, they host their own youtube channel at youtube.com/gourmetprodu… Learn how to make the perfect Strawberry Daiquiri, or a Pineapple Salsa, or even a Tuscan White Bean Salad, to name just a few of the tutorials they offer online. While a virtual tutorial is a great way to learn about their offerings, trying their amazing fare in person is definitely worthwhile.

I LOVE this place. Frequently visit for lunch. It would be a fantastic place to grab a picnic in the summer, but haven't done that yet. Creative, flavorful. I love the options and being able to get a plate of various offerings for a fun meal!

Apparently I was the last person to find out about this awesome sandwich shop. Everything about the experience was great. They had plenty of friendly staff to make sure we were able to order our sandwich and side, pay and move on quickly. It's nice to be able to get a quality lunch and not have to wait 30 or 45 min. If your are in LO around lunch time, I suggest stopping in and trying one of their tasty sandwiches.

Gourmet Productions has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who will make you feel comfortable, while also being able to explain what they have to offer to you. I like the variety of choices in their menu, and actually had one of the staff members help me out by selecting one of the side dishes for me...It was a magnificent meal. I look forward to taking friends and family their to eat, because I know they will provide us nothing but the best food possible.

Great food, great service, I wish I discovered this place sooner. My wife had tried to get me to go here a few times before but I resisted, always preferring to get my favorite sandwich down the road at Port City Pasta. Now my wife is angry with me for finally wanting to go after reading a Yelp post by Alissa R. She says I won't listen to her, but will gladly listen to Yelp. The thing is, she is almost always right, so I should probably listen to her more. And augment what she says with what I read on Yelp. This is a small cafe with a small display practically overflowing with various salads, sandwiches, entrees and sides. Everything is visually stunning and it smells divine. It really is a beautiful display. It makes me want to just climb in there and roll around in it, as my Friend Mathew P. would say. There are a handful of tables here and it would be a nice place to sit and watch people joyfully discover what they are serving up, but I would bet most people do take out like we did. We ordered a chicken salad sandwich which looked nice but was not particularly impressive. I will stick to Port City's sandwiches. But everything else we tried was fabulous and top notch. My favorite was an Italian tomato and bread salad that featured olives and an oil and vinegar based dressing. They had a name for it which I do not recall, but this stuff is really special. Do not miss this one; you will know it when you see it. We also had the Tuscan White Bean Salad which was also glorious. The spinach and goat cheese galete topped with walnuts, parsley, and artichokes also stands out. Future trips will include other items that were hard to resist this time around: Sweet potato wedges, couscous, flank steak--I will probably end up dreaming about this place. This food is definitely prepared by some serious foodies. With food this pretty and this delicious, the chefs have to be absolutely mad about herbs and spices, passionate about various cheeses and marinades, and must adore their kitchen and utensils. You can tell not only by the look and taste, but also by how passionate their counter workers are too. The person that helped us, described everything that we inquired about with such zeal and genuine love of what she was describing that we had a hard time picking and choosing. Selling is always easier when you fully believe in your product. We dropped $30 on lunch. Too many good choices is not a bad problem to have.

I ordered a days full of food for an office meeting and was definitely impressed with the quality, preparation and service I received through their catering office. The food was fresh, lots of choices, not too expensive, great communication, etc. They are first on my list the next time I need an event catered!

Amazing delicious culinary treats await you at Gourmet Productions. This is one of my favorite places for lunch. The staff is super sweet and the food consistently scrumptious. This is my go-to place for a quick picnic dinner in the summertime before going to a park concert. . . .plus they have bottles of wine!

Heard about this place from a co-worker of mine and decided to give it a whirl on lunch today. Wow! The food was fantastic!! Its not just a catering company.. it also offers cafe/deli style food and the selection is superb! It reminded me of Elephants Deli but so much better! Everything is cooked from scratch. I had a cup of potato leek soup and a chicken salad sandwich. The soup was delicious and satiated my need of something warm and hearty on such a miserable day. The chicken salad sandwich was made on a focaccia type bread (minus the herbs) and had apricots and sliced almonds mixed in to put a spin on the traditional chicken salad recipe. Me likey!

Gourmet Productions is amazing. Not only is the food there outstanding, but the staff remember what my favorites are, what other foods I might like to try, how my math test went last Friday... everything! The food is delicious! I've never had anything there that I didn't like. Some people may think that they are a little bit pricey, but I disagree. The ingredients are always fresh and in season, making for delicious food for all seasons, and if that means that they have to charge a little bit more than, oh, McDonald's? That's ok with me. A great place to meet for lunch, grab dinner to-go, or sneak in for a slice of whatever divine dessert they are serving that day. This place is GREAT!

Although a little pricey, Gourmet Productions is worth it. The format of this restaurant is perfect for a casual lunch. A dozen salads and a few protein choices are in a deli case and you get to pick and choose what combo you'd like. I always go for the salmon, it's consistently perfect. My favorite was the BBQ salmon, but recently I had kiwi salsa salmon and it's great. Kiwi salsa and salmon is the epitome of GP's combinations, they're very balanced. The curried chicken salad is a wonderful balance of salty and sweet with yellow curry and sweet currants. My go-to favorite is the Italian bread salad. Fresh tomatoes, onions, and chunks of bread combined with the picant taste of balsamic and kalamata olives is a perfect side to any of the dishes. The staff is very knowledgable about the dishes and able to point you in a good direction if you're indecisive, but the truth is, you really can't go wrong with anything here. Be sure to pick up a cookie too; my favorite is the oatmeal currant.
